The premiere show 30th November, 2012. 

  • Arranged, designed and directed by Niladree Bhattacharya and supported by the Ministry of Culture, Govt, Of India, 'Socrates' is a relevant rendition of the hollowness of democracy, as seen through the eyes of Greek philosopher, Socrates.. Is democracy the conformation with the majority? Or does it also allow one to question the very notion of democracy itself?

Parampora

  • Placed in a village of Orissa, the play talks about the conflicts of the villagers face when their lives clash with the politics. Their daily existence becomes tragic as they struggle with tradition and present contradictions.

Nakshi Kathar Maath (by poet Jasimuddin), a folk-tale

  • Poet Jasimuddin's classic love story of Rupai and Saaju has been dramatised to not only present the bonds of love but also an appreciation of  folk culture, martial arts and religion.



Ekti Collage

  • Like a collage, this play is an assimilation of seemingly unrelated things to create a complete picture of modern life. Tagore'e 'Raktokarobi', 'Guru', Badal Sircar's 'Ebong Indrajit', 'Tringsho Shatabdi' and other verses and plays have been brought together to portray a journey. A social system is explored and the struggle of youth to find an identity, socially, politically and individually. Conceptualised, designed and directed by Niladree Bhattacharya and supported by the Ministry of Culture, Govt, of India.
 Saajghor

premiere show - 6th December, 2011.
  • 'Saajghor' is the story of a make-up man who identifies the falsities of real life and understands that human actions are  nothing less than paint to disguise reality. 


Horikhela (a verse by Rabindranath Tagore)

  • Tagore's poem is performed dramatically with Rajasthani folk music and Indian classical music. 


Rather Roshi ( a play by Rabindranath Tagore)
